Das PCTG-Filament von Nobufil wird aus recycelten Kunststoffen hergestellt. Dabei handelt es sich um Produktionsabfälle, die bei er industriellen Verarbeitung anfallen.
PCTG (Polycyclohexylenedimethylene Terephthalate Glycol-modifiziert) ist ein Polymer aus der Familie der Polyester und besitzt im Vergleich zu seinem bekannteren Gegenstück PETG eine um ein Vielfaches höhere Schlagfestigkeit. Dadurch eignet sich das Material für Bauteile, die höchsten mechanischen Belastungen ausgesetzt sind.
