  • Should I register in the site to make an order?
    It is not necessary to register in the site to place an order on the Nobufil website to give up. However, registering makes the ordering process for your next orders easier for you.
  • Does 3D filament made from recycled plastics prints differently?
    When selecting the raw materials, we make sure that they are of high and consistent quality. If it is still necessary to adjust the properties of the material for using it in 3D printing, we can modify them accordingly by adding suitable additives in our recycling process. This ensures that your prints will be the same as with non-recycled filaments.
  • Can you smooth the Nobufil ABSx filament prints with acetone or do various additives prevent it from melting?
    The positive properties of our 3D material such as easy printability and low Odor development is achieved through special modification. This also results in better resistance to chemicals and solvents such as acetone. That means the post-treatment/smoothing will not lead to the same results as with unmodified ABS types .
  • How many meters of 3D filament are on 1 spool?
    The length of the filament depends on the diameter and the material it is made of. On a 1 kg spool of Nobufil PETG with a diameter of 1.75 mm are about 344 meters of filament. On a roll Nobufil ABSx with 1 kg and 1.75 mm diameter are 405 meters.
  • What raw materials is the Nobufil 3D filament made from?
    For our filaments we only use sorted production waste from industrial plastics processing , which we obtain from Austria and neighboring countries.
  • What is the process of converting industrial plastic waste into filament?
    How do we make the recycled 3D filament? Nobufil has control over the material before recycling, the recycling process itself, and the production and post-production of the filaments. These are the steps how we make our eco-friendly 3D printing filament:< /p> Step 1. Sourcing of suitable materials We obtain our starting materials from long-standing and reliable suppliers exclusively from the EU, mainly from Austria and neighboring countries. This enables us to ensure a high, consistent product quality and, thanks to the short transport routes, avoid long truck journeys and, as the resilt, keep CO2 emissions low. Step 2. Testing During the pre-production process, all raw materials go through several tests. This starts with the inspection of the recycling materials upon delivery, through quality controls during production to mechanical tests, and at the end we test the final product. In this way, we ensure to provide the premium filaments and high-quality printing results for our customers with consistent quality. Step 3. Production of granules The plastic waste is melted in our extrusion systems, mixed with additives to improve the properties, while all toxic matters are filtered out. Finally we get plastic granulate for producing 3D filaments. Step 4. Producing 3D Printer Filament In a further process step, the granulate produced in this way is used to produce high-quality filament with a constant diameter, which is excellent for printing. When developing our materials, we try to take into account the most important requirements that the FFF printing process entails. Our products are constantly tested internally and externally to ensure that they can be easily processed on the most common desktop 3D printers.

  • What is the difference between PETG and ABS filaments?
    PETG: The PETG filament < /u> from Nobufil is made from recycled production waste and thus makes a valuable contribution to the circular economy. As an alternative to materials from primary production, these products help to conserve resources, reduce the ecological footprint and reduce CO2 emissions. In addition, Nobufil PETG delivers high-quality prints with excellent layer adhesion and robustness. The good longevity is combined with high impact resistance, making it an ideal material for the manufacture of objects that are exposed to mechanical stress. Other strengths of this material are excellent layer adhesion and almost the same properties as ABS in terms of temperature resistance and strength - at the same time it is just as easy to print as PLA. The PETG filament prints almost without warping, is odorless and can be easily processed on almost all common 3D printers. These properties make it the ideal material for beginners, ambitious hobby printers and professional series production. ABSx: The ABS filament from nobufil is made from recycled industrial manufacturing waste and is also a wonderful way to reduce waste while helping the environment. This process not only minimizes waste, but also helps to conserve resources and reduce carbon emissions by more than 60% compared to virgin material. The physical properties of this material include high tensile strength and stiffness. It is mainly used for its mechanical properties and increased heat and chemical resistance. As such, ABS is a popular material that can be used to create prototypes quickly and efficiently at minimal cost. In addition, our ABSx filament has a significantly reduced tendency to warp and low odor development. This makes it easier to use on the most common printers available on the market.
